We are adding a caretaker, Restrooms, a pavilion
and a courtesy dock total cost of 40-50,000
for materials only labor free.
Money is coming from SPLOST Tax. Labor is being
provided through Prison labor local state
prison.

Summer Camp is funded totally through Grant funds
through the Wilkes County Community Partnership.
  • Younger teens are preparing for parents night to
    be held Thursday night.

The kids are taught several lessons at once how
to organize a project how to start a business
and sell the product - how to manage their money
they use math skills to make it sound they
must be physically fit to use the equipment and
they must get along well with each other!!!

  • Food and Nutrition is one of the elements of the
    Summer Camp. The Food Pyramid is part of the
    challenge and food safety is emphasized!

The Summer Camp averages around 175 kids per

from the City and about 5,000 from Parks Rec.

All labor was donated from Kiwanis Club and
individuals from the community.

honor to serve with this committee.
