Reason for Change
  • Classified, exempt and faculty are all salaried
    employees.
  • Approval received from State Auditors Office.
  • Research Best Practices of other CTC.

Effective Date of Change
  • Classified timesheets no longer required after
    4/1/05 (pay period 4/1/05-4/15/05).

What Doesnt Change
  • 1. Change of Work Schedule
  • a) Classified employees are assigned a normal
    work schedule.
  • b) HRO notifies the employee, supervisor and
    Payroll Office using an appointment letter and
    employee notice.
  • c) Any change in work schedule requires the
    completion of a Classified Employee Assigned Work
    Schedule form.

What Doesnt Change
  • 2. Additional Hours Form
  • a) The appointment letter and employee notice
    will advise employees, supervisors and Payroll
    Office if the employee is eligible for overtime.
  • b) If so, the position is eligible for overtime
    compensation at the rate of time and one-half and
    must be directed in advance by the supervisor.
  • c) Overtime compensation requires the
    completion of an Additional Hours Form to be
    submitted to the Payroll Office.

    eligible for the following types of paid leave
  • Vacation leave (VAC) Military duty (MLV)
  • Sick Leave (CSL) Personal holiday (PH)

  • Jury duty (CLV)

  • b) Unpaid Leave Classified employees who do
    not work their assigned work schedule, or do not
    have an appropriate leave balance, must complete
    a leave form for the following types of unpaid
    leave
  • Leave without pay (LWO)
  • Leave without pay, cyclic (LWC) to use during no
    work days.

What Does Change
  • Cyclic Classified Employees scheduled to work
    less than 12 months per year.
  • a) Cyclic employees working within their
    Cyclic Calendar are not required to complete
    timesheets. They follow the procedures mentioned
    previously for change of schedule, additional
    hours or leave.
  • b) Classified employees working outside of
    their Cyclic Calendar will be required to
    complete a timesheet.

  • a) Paid monthly on 15th of month
  • b) Paid using the Part time Hourly Rate
    Schedule.
  • c) Complete the Part time Hourly Timesheet
    (either manual or ATAS).
  • d) Supervisor will notify HRO Payroll.
