  match

FP Server Extension Benefits

• Simplifies implementing many features often done
  with PERL or other CGI scripts (e.g., email form
  results)
• HTTP-based publishing hides FTP file management
• Supports security on some platforms -- depends on
  your network and administrator

• Dependence on the Extensions makes transition to
  other platforms difficult
• Some platforms may not support all features
  equally well
• Many ISPs charge more to support the Extensions
• Some ISPs dont support current version
• Some UNIX network administrators very hesitant to
  install Extensions
