Introduction
  • The goal of studying Bible authority is so that
    we learn and abide within sound doctrine.
  • With sound doctrine one should be able to
    persuade those who contradict.
  • The reason is that there are many who will not
    endure sound doctrine. 2 Tim. 43

Introduction
  • Doctrine is essentially important.
  • Without doctrine, there is no standard from which
    to base ones life.
  • Conversely doctrine, by its very nature, provides
    all that is necessary for life and godliness as
    God desires. Eph. 210
  • Sound doctrine, therefore, is vital so that the
    word of truth is rightly divided and practiced by
    all of Gods children.

  • Defined Doctrine is the act of teaching or that
    which is taught.
  • The act of teaching given by instruction or
    proclamation.
  • This can be the teaching or chastening done by a
    parent so their children grow up in the way they
    should go. Eph. 64 Heb. 125-11
  • Rebuking, exhorting, convicting those walking
    contrary to truth. Tit. 19
  • Proclamation To announce officially (verbal
    teaching/preaching).

    from divine revelation.
  • It is vital to adhere to biblical doctrine, not
    man made teachings.
