5Acts 324-26 Yes, and all the prophets, from
Samuel and those who follow, as many as have
spoken, have also foretold these days. You are
sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which
God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,
'And in your seed all the families of the earth
shall be blessed.' To you first, God, having
raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless
you, in turning away every one of you from
your iniquities."

9The relationship that God formed with them was
based upon promises about things He would not do
for a long time,
and most things that He would not do in
their lifetime

10Hebrews 1113-14 These all died in faith, not
having received the promises, but having seen
them afar off were assured of them, embraced them
and confessed that they were strangers and
pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such
things declare plainly that they seek a
homeland.

11Hebrews 1115-16 And truly if they had called to
mind that country from which they had come out,
they would have had opportunity to return. But
now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly
country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be
called their God, for He has prepared a city
for them.
