German Propaganda

• Johann von Leers was one of the most prolific
  Nazi anti-Semites. After the war, he fled to
  Italy and Argentina, eventually ending up in
  Egypt, where he converted to Islam and remained
  an active anti-Semitic propagandist until his
  death in 1965. His articles propose the removal
  of all Jews from Europe.

Cartoons and Propaganda

• Many cartoons come from a book published at the
  end of 1939. The cartoons selected all make the
  claim that Germany was an innocent nation on
  which war had been forced.

"Keep it up, Mr. Churchill, and we'll soon be
doing business together."

Poster Propaganda

• This poster is from the 1930's, and promotes the
  Nazi monthly Neues Volk (New People, the organ
  of the party's racial office. The text reads
  "This genetically ill person will cost our
  people's community 60,000 marks over his
  lifetime. Citizens, that is your money. Read
  Neues Volk, the monthly of the racial policy
  office of the NSDAP."

Youth Propaganda

• The text of this 1940 poster reads "Youth Serves
  the Führer. All 10-year-olds into the Hitler
  Youth." Membership in the Hitler Youth had become
  mandatory in 1936.

• ("The Eternal Jew")
• It depicts the Jews of Poland as corrupt, filthy,
  lazy, ugly, and perverse they are an alien
  people which have taken over the world through
  their control of banking and commerce, yet which
  still live like animals

Postage Stamps

• This was issued after regulations were introduced
  requiring all Jews still in Germany to wear a
  visible yellow star. The caption says "He who
  wears this symbol is an enemy of our people."
