3 In 1939 during World War II, a German man named
Adolf Hitler was in power over Germany. His party
was called the Nazis.

5 Hitler was a great talker and convinced many
Germans that their depression was because of the
Jews. As an aboriginal of Poland for the reason
that Germany lost possession of Poland after
World War I, Hitler was determined to take
control of his original country and punish the
Jews.

7 Hitlers first move was to round up the Jews and
send them to concentration camps. In this picture
there are men, women, and children all being
marched by the German army.

9 Jews were packed in freight cars of trains on
hot days and sent to concentration camps.

11 Upon arrival to the concentration camps, all
Jewish prisoners were registered. The German
officials would call a random Jewish persons
name and that person would come forward.

13After the Jews were registered they were then
stripped of all of their clothing and sent to get
their heads shaved. These men are now half
undressed.

15Once they we checked in and undressed they were
sent to be washed and have their heads shaved.
These men here are sitting in chairs naked
getting their heads shaved and one man there is
just getting out of the bath tub. As you can
clearly see, this is done outside where everyone
can see.

17After the Jews were registered, washed, and
shaved, they were gathered and sent into a
chamber which had a tent. In the chamber and
under the tent they were all disinfected, which
means they were all sprayed with an disinfecting
agent. In this picture there are six thousand
Jews gathered and ready to be sent to be
disinfected.

19 New prisoners after being cleansed were dressed
and gathered in an orderly fashion to wait for
their role assignment.

21Jews who were assigned roles had to build many
thing in the concentration camps such as the
barracks where they would have to sleep once
built.

24Many of the barracks were crowed with beds too
many Jews. Many of the Jews even had to sleep on
the floor.

26As the barracks were very unsanitary many of the
Jews died because of disease. Here are two
survivors lying on the floor with the dead.

disposed of later.

34Jews who had their duties/roles fulfilled that
did not die of disease were unnecessary. So, they
were disposed of. A big whole was dug, Jews were
shot and buried in the big whole, or burned.

Jewish thought were showers.

38Jews who thought was an ordinary day of torture
went into a new building which was thought to be
the showers. However, instead of water coming out
it was gas. This picture is a stone
representation of this horrible instance.

40 Six million Jews were killed in total, this
picture only contains a couple thousand out of
those six million. The holocaust had a major
impact on the world and would be something that
no one would, or should forget.
