3Seeds of Peace also thrives on the participation
of volunteers who are willing to make a
difference in the community.
4Peace Gardens
GPI has created Peace Gardens in Indianapolis for
three years now. Peace Gardens feed the hungry.
GPI provides volunteers who make a difference in
the community and the lives of people in need.
The difference can start through something as
small as a seed. The planted garden will provide
food throughout the growing season.

7Linda L. Proffitt
Executive Director and Founder
Is passionate about nature, peace and sharing her
belief that peace is within each of us. Her
personal mission is to encourage the development
of a global peace initiative that emanates from
the heartland of the America. An Indiana native,
Linda has hiked all over Indiana and surprises
people with new experiences in unknown locations.
She spent four and a half years working and
living in Bangkok, Thailand. She was also a
trainer for the United States Peace Corps. While
a resident of Thailand she hiked through many
nations in Southeast Asia, but her own opinion,
theres no place like home and sharing peace is
her mission. Linda was a great advisor and an
inspiration to all of us. She really made our
Seeds of Peace worthwhile.
