  • An exception was requested to the following
    elements of the policy
  • There will be one website for the City managed
under the direction of the Department of
    Telecommunications and Information Services
    (DTIS). All City Departments will
  • Host and update web sites using the City's web
content management system maintained by DTIS.
  • Own published content and be responsible for
maintaining their web sites using the City's web
    content management
  • DTIS and the Architecture Subcommittee meet with
    Library to review this request.

7
Library Website Policy Exception Recommendation
  • The Architecture Subcommittee voted to approve
the request on March 18, 2007 based on the fact
that the DTIS Web Content Management system could
not meet the business needs of the Library.
  • The Subcommittee noted that the exception was
  • The Library website would not need to be hosted
    by DTIS
  • The Library website would not need to use DTIS
    Web Content Management System
  • The Library would maintain their website on city
owned equipment, using city staff services, and
adhere to all other COIT website policy design
    and ADA guidelines.
  • Recommendation Grant the Library Website Policy
Exception request for a term of one year. The
exception should be revisited after DTIS
implements a new Web Content Management System.
