THE BLACK BEAR

When people think of the Black bear they think a
big scary black thing that will attack you on
sight of if you see it. Now some bears might do
this but not the black bear. When most people see
a black bear the bear is either just walking
through the woods, sitting in a tree or most of
the time they are sleeping. Also bears may be
found doing funny things. They are also not all
black they are many different colors. Also if you
do see them sometimes they may be growling but
this may only be because they have cubs or food.
Also while walking you may see scat. Other signs
people may see from a black bear when walking
through the woods are tracks or tree marks.

COLOR
The Black bears name has the word black inside of
it. So many people think that this means that the
bear is black. But this is not true black bears
come in black, brown, cinnamon, some also have a
silver stomach.

FUNNY THINGS
Also some people when walking through the woods
they may see a Black bear doing something funny.

CUBS
When people see a Black bear they may notice that
it growls at them and this is because they may
have cubs around.

FOOD
Another reason that a bear might growl at you is
because they might have food. Black bears eat
things like seeds, berries, fish, sticks, bugs,
brush.

SCAT
Many people when walking through the woods they
may see some scat.
Bear scat between 1-3/8 inches and 1-1/2 inches
in diameter
