• A leopard is the smallest of the big cat family.
• They weigh only 100 pounds.
• A leopards spots help it hide from its prey.
• A snow leopard is usually pale with blackish
  spots.

Habitat

• Snow leopards often live in the Himalayan
  mountains, Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, Mongolia,
  India, and Nepal.

Characteristics That Help It Live

• It has a very furry tail. It wraps its tail
  around it face to protect it from the cold.
• Its tail helps it balance.
• Their paws have hair that keep them warm and they
  help it walk on the snow.
• They have good eye sight.
• They have loose belly skin so that if they get
  kicked in the stomach while hunting, they wont
  get hurt.

Eating Habits

• Snow leopards eat goats, smaller creatures, blue
  sheep, mountain goats, deer, wild marmots,
  horses, hares, birds, wild sheep, and mice.
• They can jump and pounce on their prey.
• They have retractable claws they u se to catch
  their prey.
• They have a rough tounge that helps them eat
  their food off of the bones.

• Goats and people are the snow leopards enemy.
• People kill leopards for their fur.

• A leopard protects itself by using its claws and
  teeth.
• It uses camouflage to protect itself.
