Rules for the Sketchbook Warm Up

• .At the start of every class there will be a
  new photograph you will respond to
• DIRECTIONS
• You must use a new page in your sketchbook each
  day
• front to back is fine
• The date must be at the top of each page.
• Pages must be in order
• Which means that if you are absent you will need
  to leave a blank page(s). When you get back go
  back and do the one(s) you missed.
• Must fill up a whole page with writing,
  sketching, etc. in response to the photograph
  each day.
• At least once a week, you must use color.

• Typography Assignment
• In Photoshop, create a 8 x 10 inch file with a
  resolution at 150 ppi, and CMYK color.
• Answer the following questions
• What does typography mean?
• List the Basic Rules of Thumb for using fonts.
• What are four Font Families?
• Describe the proper use for each font family.
• Using the text tool write one word in 20
  different fonts
• Include San Serif, Serif, Monospace, Fantasy or
  Cursive
• Use multiple font sizes
• Warp at least three words
• Use different font colors
• When you finish save your work at your
  LastName_FirstName_TA.psd on your HOME drive.
  You can turn it in to the Share drive tomorrow.

  the links for tomorrow (2/8) on our class
  schedule.
