NCE Parent Teacher Organization
North Columbia Elementary PTO welcomes new and
returning parents to a wonderful 2007-2008 school
year. This promises to be an exciting year for
the parents and students alike. The PTO is the
Parent Teacher Organization. We are parents just
like you who volunteer our time to enhance the
educational experience of every child in our
school. By joining PTO you are simply showing
support for your child's school. If you have a
desire to be involved in your child's school,
then you are more than qualified to be a PTO
member/volunteer. If you have any questions or
would like more information on North Columbia

APPRECIATIONS A Special appreciation from the
PTO staff to Marie Stewart and Marianne Bradford
for stepping up and taking over the Hospitality
committee. Without a doubt it is the most
difficult committee. Thanks ladies for your
contribution toward the finest education. When
the faculty is happy, our children enjoy learning
that much more. As Christmas gets closer
so does the need for Santas helpers. We will
kick off the Santa Shop soon and we appreciate
all the help we can get. We want to take this
time to recognize Donna Postell for volunteering
to head up the Santa shop this year. Shannon
Quattlebaum will be assisting in the program and
we still need volunteers. Thanks again ladies
for volunteering. We cant be successful without
help by the parents and the school faculty.
LETTER FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT If you have
not received a personal Thank You from one of
the PTO Officers, I want to take this opportunity
to do that very thing. We appreciate each and
every parent, grandparent or guardian who has
joined the PTO. I cannot express to you the
importance of active parents in the school.
Dont let someone else make all the decisions in
your childs education. We, as parents, need to
take every opportunity provided to play a role in
their lives whether its helping them with their
homework or being a member of the PTO. Thank you
for your membership! I ask that you take a
minute to view our website and I invite you to
send me an email with your comments. Parents
hate having to deal with fundraisers. I never
cared for them myself but understand fundraisers
are what makes the school. These fundraisers
need your support. The money goes directly into
the school to benefit your child. It has
improved the grounds of North Columbia
Elementary, replaced activities on the playground
and gave money to the classroom. Most of all,
the money raised has improved morale and made a
fun and enjoyable atmosphere for our child to
learn and grow.
PTO MEMBERSHIP All membership dues stay at
NCE to help finance programs that will help in
the education of our children. Your membership
dues go a long way. Memberships dues cover you
and your spouse. The 2007-2008 membership
dues are 20.00. This includes a free kid's meal
from Sonic and Tony Roma's. In addition you will
receive coupons for a free ice cream at
Brewster's and a free chicken sandwich from
Chick-fil-a. As an added bonus, you will also
receive a North Columbia cookbook put together by
some our past members.

parents and teachers in order to promote a
successful and meaningful learning experience for
the students at North Columbia Elementary
School. ? Mrs. Bolton - We need you and all you
do for us as a school! NCE would not be the
school it is today without the strong PTO that
has always supported us (the teachers), the
students and the parents!

GENTLEMEN! WE NEED HELP COOKING DURING THE
FALL CARNIVAL (26 OCTOBER 2007). WE HAVE THE
GRILL AND ACCESSORIES BUT WE NEED ABLE BODIES TO
COME AND HELP COOK.

The Sonic Drive-in, Tony Romas, Brusters Ice
Cream And Chic-Fil-A provided the free food
coupons to go out to all new members.
The Coca Cola Company has once again come through
and donated the use of the coke cart as well as
the drinks for our upcoming Fall carnival!
Krogers Earning-Plus-Learning program has
kicked off. The school is now registered in one
of the easiest fundraisers available!
Food Lions Lion Shop Share program in
online. This is another no hassle free
fundraiser parents can use to support the school!

Adventure Crossing and Putt Putt continues to
provide free coupons for our exceptional students
who have excelled above all others
Adventure Crossing
JAXCO has provided us with an exceptional catalog
of merchandises to start our first major
fundraiser.
Rhineharts Oyster Bar has continued the
tradition of supporting our school. They will be
providing a meal to the faculty on 6 December in
addition to donating 80 Barney Bucks!!
Many companies have joined into the Box Tops for
Education program. We have started the class
competition in all grades to assist in obtaining
easy money for the school.

Wisteria Hill Plantation has some exciting events
planned for our Fall Carnival in October!
Enterprise Rental has donated an amount of cash
to the school!
Circle K has joined the team and volunteered to
give some merchandise and fuel coupons to the
school!
Augusta Tile Center was Generous in their
donation. That donated a very good looking bird
bath.
We are going to continue collecting Tyson box
tops and bag coupons as well. If Parents
purchase these products send them in and we will
get cash to the school.
