Laura Guttridge Participated In PETAs Vegetarian
Starter Kit Campaign

Laura Guttridge is enthusiastically involved in
animal activism by raising a voice to save and
protect them. Even as a child, she was very eager
to help animals that needed support, help or
affection. To help bring awareness to animal
suffering she established Marion County Voices
for Animals, this was a small grassroots animal
right's organization based in Ocala Florida.

They raised a voice against cruelty to animals.
They actively organized protest against hunting,
against the mistreatment of animals in the
circus, etc. In 1992 MCVA convinced Ocala's local
animal shelter to stop using the archaic
decompression chamber to euthanize animals, and
switch to the more humane lethal injection.

As a result, Laura helped save countless animals
from a torturous death. She also helped in
promoting vegetarianism by campaigning in PETAs
vegetarian starter kit. Laura Guttridge is also
on the Board of Directors for the reputed Animal
Rights Foundation of Florida.

By spreading awareness to animal suffering, ARFF
has been campaigning for the protection of
animals since 1989. The Animal Rights Foundation
of Florida uses different methods and techniques
such as sending out letters to the editors,
sending spokespersons to radio and TV shows,
demonstrations and outreach events and more.

She recently authored a childrens book called
Gypsy The Christmas Cat. The book motivates
children about compassion, trust and patience. It
is based on a real-life cat named Gypsy.

About Laura Guttridge Laura Guttridge is an
animal activist, a former successful swimsuit
model and an author. She is highly educated with
a graduation in Bachelors of Philosophy from The
University of Central Florida.

She is also the author of the childrens book
Gypsy the Christmas Cat which teaches children
about trust, compassion and patience. The book is
based on a real life cat named Gypsy. Children
learn about giving unconditional love, affection,
kindness and a home to animals.

She has received many awards for protecting
animals such as The 2007 Humanitarian of the Year
Award from The Humane Society of Vero Beach.
Laura is on the board of Directors of Animal
Rights Foundation of Florida and she also
established Marion County Voices for Animals.
