David Bergen is the Managing Director of Alvarez
and Marsal Business and IT Management Consulting.
As the Managing Director, he leads and manages
the West Coast CIO and IT Transformation
Practice. He works with Fortune 250 firms and
focuses on performance improvement initiatives
including IT strategy, process improvement,
organization design, CIO advisory, and cost
takeout.

David Bergen also has performed an interim CTO
, specifically, leading Information Security and
Enterprise Architecture for Pacific Gas and
Electric Corporation. David Bergen was the Global
CIO for Levi Strauss for over 8 years. He
assisted the transformation of the Levis
autonomous business units from a set of highly
decentralized business units to a set of units
sharing common solutions and procedures.

He not only redesigned a new supply chain but
also introduced several new distribution channels
and enabled the supply chain to support new mass
merchandising customers like K-Mart, Target and
Wal-Mart. As a result, there was a considerable
business revenue growth during Davids tenure.

Shoppers as the Senior Vice President/Global CIO.
The company has about 150 stores in 9 countries
and is a multinational retailer of goods that are
luxurious and duty free.
