Diane AtkinsReluctance to Resonance
When we moved back I heard we were going to get
computers. I didnt care why. And I told CTA
and MHFA that I didnt want one. I almost
figured it as an intrusion because I am always
sick. I was really disgusted with it all.
Diane Atkins
50
Diane AtkinsReluctance to Resonance
I got my first session and I was amazed! I
couldnt believe it! It was so fascinating! I
get my second session and Im getting e-mail,
which was totally blowing my mind. And Im
saying, Oh my God, this is incredible.
Diane Atkins
51
Diane AtkinsReluctance to Resonance
So now I type it in. It looked OK. And I sent
it. I had the nerve. Its like I was covering
my eyes. I was so afraid someone would say,
Whats this jerk? And someone replied, Thanks
Edna. I was so happy I didnt know what to do!
I got up and did a dance like those football
players! When you are sick there is not much to
celebrate. Diane Atkins
52
Diane AtkinsReluctance to Resonance
And also what I found is Im not as stupid as I
thought I was. I could learn it. I did learn
it. I knew nothing. I dont feel illiterate
anymore, which I did. Embarrassed. All of those
things. But I used to hide behind it and just
say, "Oh, I dont want to be bothered. But you
need it. You do. Diane Atkins
53
Diane AtkinsReluctance to Resonance
I would have never wanted a computer. I didnt
see anything in it. Now I wouldnt know what to
do without it. I believe I am better physically
and mentally because of the computer. It is
better than all of my medication combined.
