Searching

• Enter your search term
• Decide if you want to search by Subject, Title,
  Author, or Everything

Looking for RC Books at your level

• Click Reading Programs Tab
• Select Reading Level
• If you dont find what you want at our school,
  change the library to High School Libraries or ALL

POWER SEARCHING

• For a more specific search, you can click the
  Power Search tab and enter as many fields as you
  wish.

VISUAL SEARCH (1)

• Click the tab visual search to search by subject
  tree.

• Click on the picture of the subject Animals
  results in this screen showing many different
  types of animals.

• When you click on dogs you will see a list of the
  books we have on that subject.

FAVORITES (1)

• Choosing the tab Favorites will show you what is
  most popular with students in our school.

FAVORITES (2)

• If you click on the hottest subject Mystery and
  Detective Stories, you will see the books
  available in that genre.

FAVORITES (3)

• Click on any item in favorites and you will see a
  list of books held by all libraries.

INTER-LIBRARY LOAN

• Print the page showing the book you want and the
  school where it is available.
• Add your name, grade, and teacher to the page
  with ILL Request.
• Give the page to the Media Specialist or Media
  Clerk. We will get the book from the school and
  check it out to you.
• Return the book in 2 weeks to our Media Center.
  We will return it to the school it was borrowed
  from.

• Click Reading Programs tab
• Set Program to RC, Level Any
• Enter sports as a search term
• Click Show Matching Books
• How many titles?

Lexile

• Lexile is a measurement that matches the reader
  with the level of the book .
• To see which books we have for a particular
  lexile, change the school to Forest Hill High
  School. Then enter the word lexile and the lexile
  number. How many do we have for the Lexile 570?
