- In Existence since 1964, first as the Ohio First
Aid and Rescue Association - The Oldest, active association of its kind in the
United States - Mission to provide the membership with low cost
access to emergency medical services continuing
education and to keep the membership abreast of
the ever-changing field of emergency medical

5Continuing Education
- State of Ohio Approved Provider of EMS Continuing
Education - Certificate of Approval Number 1007, expires
April 30, 2010 - Speakers chosen for their expertise as leaders in
the field of EMS locally, state-wide and/or
nationally
6Continuing Education cont.
- You can earn a minimum of 11 continuing education
hours at each quarterly conference that you
choose to attend. - The Spring, Fall and Winter quarterly conferences
are conducted at various locations throughout
the state. - Quarterly conferences begin on Friday evening and
run through late Sunday morning. The Annual
Conference begins on Thursday evening and also
runs through late Sunday morning. - The Annual Conference is held every June in the
Columbus area and can yield many more hours of
continuing education - A Free Lunch is provided, to all registered
attendees on Saturday, at every conference
