6Abbreviations
- Notice that "weekdays" and "days of the week" are
not the same. "Days of the week" are all 7 days
from Monday to Sunday. "Weekdays" are only the 5
days from Monday to Friday. The "weekend" is
Saturday and Sunday.

7Months of the Year
- There are 12 months in a year.
- The months of the year are written with Upper
case letters (capital letters) - All months have 30 or 31 days, except for
February which has 28 days - The year has 365 days except on leap years.
- Every fourth year, the month of February has 29
days instead of 28. This year is called a "leap
year" and the 29th of February is a "leap day". A
leap year has 366 days instead of the normal 365
