• Truth was the first woman to speak on slavery.

• When she was released as a slave one of the first
  things she did was to go to court to try to get
  her son back who was taken somewhere to serve
  another person.

Why is she famous?

• The reason why she is famous is because she was
  traveling across the country preaching on the
  gospel and slavery.

• I think that she is a good example of doing
  what you want to do and not just wanting to do it.
