  • Use the correct order of operations to evaluate

Vocabulary
  • Expression- A mathematical phrase that contains
    operations, numbers, and/or variables
  • It has NO equal sign. Example 8x 4
  • Variable- A letter that represents a value that
    can change or vary Example 8x 4
  • Numerical Expression- An expression that does not
    contain variables Example 3 2
  • Algebraic Expression- An expression that contains
    one or more variables. Example 2x 5y
  • Evaluate- To find the value of a numerical or
    algebraic expression.

  • Do all items in the parenthesis first
