What Peace Did Jesus Leave?

  the presence of the council, rejoicing that they
  were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the

  to house, they did not cease teaching and
  preaching that the Christ is Jesus.

  beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness,
  humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with
  one another and, if one has a complaint against
  another, forgiving each other as the Lord has
  forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

• But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
  patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
  gentleness, self-control against such things
  there is no law. (Galatians 522-23 ESV)
• Like all the Spirits fruit, this one too comes
  from the word of the Lord
• I have said these things to you, that in me you
  may have peace. In the world you will have
  tribulation. But take heart I have overcome the
  world. (John 1633 ESV)

• Rejoice in the Lord always again I will say,
  rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to
  everyone. The Lord is at hand do not be anxious
  about anything, but in everything by prayer and
  supplication with thanksgiving let your requests
  be made known to God. And the peace of God, which
  surpasses all understanding, will guard your
  hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

• Given NOT as the world gives

Keep your life free from love of money, and be
content with what you have, for he has said, I
will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews

What is the end result of the peace that Jesus
gives?

• Sin
• Doubt
• And fear will steal our peace but

• There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts
  out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and
  whoever fears has not been perfected in love. (1
  John 418 ESV)
