Company History
Emcocables was founded in 1960 by a group of
Colombian industrialists who were associated
with the North American company, Paulsen Wire
Rope Inc., to manufacture steel wire rope.
By 1970, Emcocables had a production plant with
modern equipment capable of manufacturing wires,
strands and wire rope. By this time, it also
produced galvanized and copper lines. By 1980,
Emcocables had developed an aluminum-clad line,
producing both wire and steel strand.

Quality Management
Our quality assurance department has
laboratories with sophisticated instruments
capable of conducting physical and mechanical
tests, including equipment to test fatigue
resistance for elevator ropes.
The production process is carried out according
to our own quality norms, which were prepared
taking into account international standards
and/or special customer requirements.

Market Reach
Emcocables exports 50 of its total production.
Our main markets are North, Central, and South
America and the Caribbean. In addition, our
products have successfully reached countries such
as France, Holland, Belgium, Spain, India, the
United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.
Our products are always accompanied by the best
