Breakout Session Format
  • Series of 90-minute sessions
  • Sequenced over a three-day period (Wednesday
    Friday)
  • Each session should have

  • -- chairperson (IECs main contact)
  • -- minimum of three speakers (diverse
    perspectives)
  • -- at least one service provider perspective
  • -- question and answer period to conclude the
    session
  • Some topics benefit from a panel format
  • -- 4 to 6 speakers, each speaking for 10
    minutes
  • -- 30 minutes for moderated discussion/debate

Workshop Format
  • Half-day (Tuesday)
  • More topical depth and detail
  • Approximately 20 minute presentations (up to 15
    slides/ speaker) depending on number of speakers
  • One chairperson and up to 8 speakers
  • Highly interactive environment
  • Include top speakers
  • Minimum of two service provider perspectives
    required

  • 90 minutes in length
  • Specific topical focus
  • Chairperson is IEC main contact
  • 3 to 4 speakers (diverse perspectives)
  • 12 minutes per presentation (including chair)
  • Question and answer period to conclude the
    session
  • Please note
  • May omit PowerPoint slides and have moderated
    discussion, if approved by chair and each
    panelist
  • Chair must organize one conference call with
    panelists
  • IMPORTANT To preserve balance and objectivity,
    IEC reserves the right to place one speaker on
    panel.

Hot Seat Session Format
  • 30 minutes in length
  • Neutral moderator/interviewer
  • 2 senior executives on opposite sides of a
    technology or policy fence
  • Provocative yet positive questions up to 2
    minute answers
  • No PowerPoints (except for chairperson)
  • Moderator alternates questions between executives
  • Chair must organize one conference call to
    confirm format

Executive Roundtable Session Format
  • Provide an exclusive, interactive networking and
    discussion/learning session for key executives
  • 2 hours in length
  • Attendance is by invitation-only session is not
    marketed
  • Attendees go to a special lunch prior to sessions
  • Off the record no journalists or analysts
    allowed
  • Intended for service provider executives
  • Chairperson plus 3 speakers
  • Presentations limited to 15 minutes
  • Preserve majority of time (1 hour) for
    interactive QA

  • Suggested title of the session
  • Type of session proposed (workshop, breakout,

  • Description of companys reason or positioning
    for organizing the session
  • Contact person information (name, e-mail, and
    phone)
  • Track in which proposed session should be located

    replacing
