THE BUSH STONE CULEW The bush stone curlew comes
out to feed In search of food, its greatest
need Sadly theres no food in sight This is now
his greatest plight He ate natural seed to have
a feed Now theres none, mans bad deeds White
man worked to clear the land And turned our
grasses into sand Moonlight shines upon the
ground No worms or tucker to be found We
ploughed the land, cut down the trees Destroying
live for the bush thick knee Weve sprayed the
soil with chemical booms Now for the curlew
extinction looms Theyve been around for a
million years In just two hundred, starvation
nears White man worked to clear the land And
turned our grasses into sand Moonlight shines
upon the ground No worms or tucker to be
found The bush stone curlew what can we do They
might die out, theres but a few Plant some
trees, preserve the land Get it back to natures
plan Its up to us, to me and you Do something
now, save our curlew
