correction, reporting and submission life cycle.
  • Help prepare and guide schools/districts in order
    to avoid AYP reporting surprises.
  • Educate schools/districts why they may not be
meeting AYP requirements and help explain how to
best correct reporting errors or better
understand why the report is indeed correct.
  • Minimize the number of appeals.

5
Role of the AYP Analyst
  • Assist Georgia schools and school districts in
gathering and reporting data that will determine
whether or not they meet the federally mandated
requirements of No Child Left Behind.
  • Work with schools and districts to provide
proactive support during the upcoming Adequate
Yearly Progress (AYP) data collection period.
  • Work within an assigned territory/region to guide
and assist schools and districts through data
    preparation, submission, and correction
    activities.
  • Educate schools, districts and superintendents on
why their data may or may not have met AYP
    requirements.
  • Work closely with peers in the field to share key
findings and lessons learned in an effort to
    provide better statewide support.
