  • PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
  • The United States Air Force uses Jet Engine Noise
    Suppressors (Hush Houses) to reduce overall noise
    levels of a jet engine while they are being
    tested. A Hush House is a portable piece of
    equipment.
  • Types T-10, T-11, T-12, T-9, T-4 and A-18
  • Platforms F15, F16, F22, A-10, and T38.
  • Uninstalled Engines Above a/c and KC135, B1,
    B52, F117

Current State of Program/Project/Issue
  • Hush Houses
  • Currently 11 inactive T-9 and T-10
  • Several more inactive in the future due to
  • Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC)
  • Repair Enterprise 21
  • Leverages global visibility of all repair assets,
    centralized funds management, strategic sourcing,
    and partnerships with industry to provide the Air
    Force highly technical logistical support of
    equipment spares.

    1 basic and 2 annual options
