  • Starting with the 2006-07 2nd Quarter
    Registration/Testing Period, the Office of
    Assessment and Curriculum will be unveiling a
    new, more user-friendly registration and online
    testing system
  • Our new system was developed using teacher
    comments and suggestions and is designed to
    simplify the registration process while
    facilitating a successful testing environment

    the new system

Online Assessment
  • IMPORTANT REGISTRATION UPDATE
  • Starting with the 2008-09 Academic year the CTE
    online registration system will
  • NO LONGER be using SSNs to register students
  • Teachers will be required to enter student 10
    digit State Triand number when registering
    students

Before You Begin
  • Go to the WETest website and select menu item
    Register Students
  • http//wetest.k12.ar.us/
  • After clicking Register Students you will be
    directed to a page of helpful links designed to
    help you understand the State Triand system
  • Starting with the 2008-09 academic year, the CTE
    online assessment registration system will no
    longer use SSNs to register students
  • You will then be directed to DWEs Ethical
    Testing Acknowledgement Form. Read the form
    entirely, scroll to the bottom, enter your name
    and school, click I agree and submit the form

Step 1
  • Submitting the Ethical Testing Acknowledgement
    form will take you to the teacher login screen
  • If you have already created an account you may
    login
  • If you have not created an account in the new
    system you are a New Teacher

  • When using the NEW registration system for the
    first time, you will be considered a New
    Teacher
  • Click the New Teacher button to set up an
    account
  • At the beginning of each academic year ALL
    TEACHERS will need to select new teacher

  • When you reach the New Teacher login screen you
    will be asked to enter the main account details
  • Login- archford
  • Password- archford

  • Enter your personal information
  • Fields that are marked with a red asterisk are
    required
  • Providing an email address is an optional field.
    If you provide an email address the
    login/password will be emailed to you

  • Once you have entered your account information
    click continue and your login and password will
    be generated

  • Once you have received your login and password
    click Return to Login
  • When you arrive at the main registration login
    page, enter the login and password information
    you just generated
  • After you have received a login and password you
    will use this information to login from the main
    registration login page for the rest of the year

  • Once you are inside the system you must select
    Manage Classes to begin the registration
    process
  • You WILL NOT select Register Students until a
    class has been created

  • The Manage Classes option will allow you to
    Add a new class or view the roster of a class
    you have already created
  • If you are just beginning the process, select
    Add a new class

  • The Add a new class option will allow you to
    create a new class to register for testing
  • Use the pull down menus to create a class using
    your district, school, course, and the class
    period

Selecting a Period
  • Be sure you select the class period as it appears
    on your personal daily schedule
  • If you are testing multiple classes, the system
    will not allow you to test a period you have
    already registered
  • The teacher in the following slide has already
    registered a class for 1st period, you will see
    that first period is no longer an option

  • Once you have selected an option from the first 4
    pull-down menus you may click Create Class
  • You will not be able to create a class unless all
    4 pull-downs are filled out
  • After you click Create Class, the class
    information will be displayed
  • To delete a class entirely, you will need to
    contact the Office of Assessment and Curriculum
    at 501-682-1042

  • You are now ready to register students for
    testing!
  • You may either click Return Home then select
    Register Students OR you may click Register
    Students directly from the course confirmation
    page

  • Once you have selected the Register Students
    option select a course from the pull-down menu
  • This will take you to the student registration
    main page

  • Proceed by filling in the Student ID, First Name,
    and Last Name, in the space provided
  • After you have entered the information click
    Add this will add the student to your
    registration and automatically schedule them for
    assessment

  • When you have entered all of the students in your
    class review the class roster that has been
    generated. If a student has been generated in
    error select that student and click Remove

  • If the roster is correct print the roster using
    the printer icon. You will need this roster as
    it contains the students passwords

  • Once you have printed your roster click
    Finished
  • This will return you to the beginning. You have
    now successfully registered a class for
    assessment!
  • To register a new class repeat steps 7-15
  • To view the roster of a class you have already
    registered select option Manage Classes then
    click View Classes

FAQs
  • Q- What happens if I try to enter a student with
    a duplicate SSN/Student ID?
  • A- The new registration system will not allow
    duplicate Triand State IDs . If you attempt to
    register a student under a number that has been
    assigned to another student you will be given the
    following options
  • Use the existing student, discarding your
    submitted student
  • (this will register the student that is
    already in the system)
  • You are sure the submitted student information is
    correct
  • (this change will need to be made by the OAC,
    a contact number will be provided)
  • Cancel add student
  • (this will disregard the entered student
    number completely)

FAQs
  • Q- How do I run a teacher score list report?
  • A- After entering the registration system select
    Run Report from the Tools menu. You will
    then be taken to the reporting screen where you
    select the class and semester on which you would
    like to have a report. Select the class and
    semester then click Run Report and the score
    list report will be generated (see the following
    2 slides).

FAQs
  • Q- Do I need to make a printed record of my
    class scores? If so, how long do I need to keep
    them?
  • A- Yes, you do need to make a printout of your
    class scores. You are asked to keep them for no
    less than 4 years.

  • Q- What if I incorrectly enter a class while
    creating classes? Can I delete the class myself?
  • A- If you incorrectly create a class you will
    need to contact the Office of Assessment and
    Curriculum at 501-682-1042. You will not be able
    to delete the class yourself.

  • Q- How do students access their assessments?
  • A- Students will follow the same procedure as in
    the past. Simply go to the WETest website and
    select menu option Launch Assessment. They
    will then enter their login number (SSN) and the
    password you generated at registration (see the
    following slide).
