Biography

• Richard has a pedigree of experience starting in
  New Zealand where he was lead singer
• in a great band ,The Troubled minds , playing
  British RB and moving to the more
• soulful areas of Stax and Motown, the band became
  backing band for NZTVs pop
• show Cmon 68 NZ wide tour.
• From there he was a resident singer on the TV
  show Cmon in 1969 .
• Richard moved to England in early 70s and played
  the London pub circuit with original
• band Baxter Roberts Band six month stint in
  Lausanne, Switzerland mid 70s saw
• Richard singing lead with swiss rock outfit
  Shifter playing large venues and notably a TV
• show recorded live at the famous Montreaux Casino
  (a couple of years after the
• infamous Frank Zappa fire and smoke on the water
  legend).
• On returning to London, played the circuit again
  including The Marquee The Nashville
• Rooms and Upstairs at Ronnies.
• In the 80s Richard moved to Perth and was the
  singer with The Flying Fonzarellis,
• recording and touring nationally and
  internationally to packed houses, with regular
• appearances on Telethon and Appealathon,
  performing, phone room and panel.
• Further to this Richard has been singing and
  playing in various combinations such as
• Its life Jim-pubs , Tafes Unis
• Riddum Shakers - the backstage nightclub
• House Band Perth Blues Club

• During these periods of musical activity Richard
  has been building his
• solo repertoire, (please see attached song list),
  drawing from his vast
• experience in the music business and has played
  in many varied
• situations from lounge music at the Burswood
  Casino and Atrium
• cocktail lounge to public bars and markets.
