This is the main login screen for the Smartfind
Express System
To get into the system you will need to enter
your Access ID and PIN. Your Access ID is your
entire employee ID number (example 100009999).
The PIN is the last six digits of your SS
unless it starts with a zero
The web address is http//subfinder.highland
s.k12.fl.us

HOME PAGE Once you have successfully logged
into the system, you will be taken to the Home
Page. Here you will be able to view any
announcements that have been posted and navigate
through the system.
DO NOT USE the Browsers back button to navigate
to other screens, the program provides buttons to
return you to previously viewed information.

PROFILE SCREEN
On this screen you will be able to change your
call back telephone number. Use the
()- format, and include 1 if long
distance. Add a Do Not Call time using the
HHMM, am or pm setting. With this feature you
can prevent the system from calling you before a
certain time of the day. If any changes are made,
the SAVE button must be selected.
Our regular calling times are from 530 am
through 1200 pm and 400 pm through 930 pm

SCHEDULE SCREEN
  • On this screen you will be able to Modify/Delete
    your Availability Schedule
  • Choose day or days of the week you want
    to delete by checking the boxes by that day
  • Select the Delete button
  • Select the New button to add a new day of the
    week or time

CHANGING SCHEDULE
  • Select days of the week for
  • the schedule by leaving
  • boxes checked by that day
  • Select the times you are
  • available to work or do not
  • want to be called (Choose
  • only one option)
  • Check box for all
  • day or
  • Enter a start and end time
  • range in HHMM am or pm
  • format
  • Select Save Button
  • To Exit without saving

CLASSIFICATIONS SCREEN
This is where you will be able to view a list of
all the subject areas you are willing to
teach. If you would like to make any changes you
must contact the Department of Human Resources in
writing of any changes that need to be made.
You must submit change requests in writing to
Jennifer Cooper by fax (471-5673), by email
(cooperj_at_highlands.k12.fl.us) or by regular mail.

LOCATIONS SCREEN
This is where you will be able to view a list of
all the schools you are willing to substitute
at. If you would like to make any changes you
must contact the Department of Human Resources in
writing of any changes that need to be made.

UNAVAILABLE DATES
This is where you will be able to block out days
that you are unavailable to work, or to review
times that have already been scheduled. For
example You may have a two week vacation
scheduled for November and do not want to receive
any calls during that time.
Select the New button to create an
Unavailability period. Delete Unavailability
Schedule Place a checkmark in the desired date
range box and select Delete

MODIFYING UNAVAILABLE DATES
Date Range Enter unavailable date range using
mm/dd/yy format, or select the Date Icon to
select a date from the calendar Time Select
All Day or enter a time range that applies to
the Date Range Call for Future Assignments
Check Box if you want to receive calls during
your unavailable time to be considered for future
assignments
You may modify an unavailability period by
clicking on the start date link. You may also
delete an unavailability period if it has not
already started. Click on the box next to the
date range then click on the Delete button.

AVAILABLE JOBS
From this screen you will be able to search and
view any available jobs that have not yet been
filled. Enter a date range or leave blank and
select Search to view a list of upcoming jobs.

REVIEW ASSIGNMENTS
  • Use this screen to cancel or search for present,
    past and future assignments by date range or job
    number.
  • Select a Display Format
    List or Calendar
  • Enter a date range using MM/DD/YYYY
    format, or use the calendar icon (leaving dates
    blank will return all data)
  • OR enter a Job Number in the Job Number field
  • Select Search to display the
    list of assigned jobs

Review Assignments
  • Select Job Number link to view job details
  • Select Return to List to review other
    assigned jobs
  • To cancel an assignment, select Cancel
    Assignment and enter a reason for canceling from
    the drop-down list. Wait for the Job was
    cancelled successfully notification.
  • Note You cannot cancel if the job has already
    started.

Job Details Screen This is a summary of the job
you have done or will be doing. If it is more
that 12 hours before the start of the job there
will be a button that says Cancel this job. If
you do not see this button and you need to cancel
you must call the school directly and make sure
that you speak to a person.
