• Only national foundations association in Portugal
• It has one hundred membres including the five
  biggest portuguese foundations

• The by laws objectives are to establish
  cooperation and solidariety among its members and
  maintain contacts with associations and
  federations of European and other international
  foundations
• It has a small budget. The budget doesnt reflect
  the real financial situation of our members.

The income has about 43.400,00 euros.

Creative approach of fundraising

• Based in cooperation between Centre, foundations
  and other institutions (usualy public
  institutions)
• A model of fundraising based on projects.
• First, have a good project
• Secondly, looking for suppot to your project.

The good project

• Reflect the ideal combination between the
  creativity and capacity to accomplishment
• It is necessary a good knowledge of the forces
  and weaknesses of our organization and ourselves
• We must have a clear vision of the present
  situation and an absolute certainty of that we
  want to make.

The support for the project

• We will need many kinds of support
• Emotional support
• Management support
• Grant support
• We must asking for support
• Prepare a document with a description of the
  project
• Believe in the project.
• We must show the involvement of our organization
  with the project
• Developed co-financing projects

Foundation, Ethics and Citizenship

• Thematic promoting dialog and reflection between
  European citizens concerning ethical and
  spiritual values of European Foundations.
• Main goal to show the foundations works and
  methodologies in the European civil society
  context.

Three events

• An exhibition of foundations, for foundations to
  show their projects, services and methodologies
  of work
• A Seminar about the theme foundations, ethics
  and citizenship
• A publication about the project and about the
  seminar
• The exhibition and the seminar will take place
  next November in Lisbon and we will invite all
  European Associations of National Donors.

How to choose the partners foundations?

• By the mission only foundations who works in the
  matters of the project are invited to
  participate
• By the effective involvement only foundations
  whit a effective involvement in the matters of
  the project are invited to participate
• By the interest in the project only foundations
  with a real interest in the project are invited
  to participate. We dont accept a single grant
  support we are looking for a partner.
