Introduction

• We are a group American colonists who would like
  to convince the new Voyager Trading Company to
  form an expedition to mine for minerals in
  America. It is your job to do enough research
  about minerals that could possibly be found in
  this new land and prepare a multi-media
  presentation to convince the heads of the Voyager
  Trading Company to back your venture.

• What products it can be used for because of its
  properties
• Where it can be found in the United States
• What mining methods can be used to obtain it
• Quantitative data that will persuade us that your
  idea is economically sound
• Prepare groups multi-media presentation to
  persuade the heads of the company.
• Present your proposal persuasively.

  use to sell your mineral.
• Detailed maps that show the location in the
  United States that your company would establish
  its mining operation and travel distances.
• Description of the type of mining you would do
  and the equipment that you would need.
• Quantitative data and graphs that show the
  financial feasibility of your proposed venture.
• Present your proposal in a 5-10 minute oral
  presentation in which your whole team takes part.

  deposits of your mineral can be found.
• Determine what type of deposits they are found in
  (in ores that must be smelted, a sediments, or in
  veins)
• Research and determine the best method to harvest
  the minerals.
