English. - Use s to show an item belongs to a specific
person - Ex. Marias sweater
- 2. Use a possessive adjective

- Instead of adding s to the owner, Spanish uses
this formula - Possession de owner
- Ex. El suéter de Maria
2Here are the possessive adjectives in Spanish
- My mi, mis
- Your (fam.s.)- tu, tus
- Your (Form.s.)-
- su, sus
- His, her, its, their- su, sus
- Our nuestro, nuestra, nuestros, nuestras
- Your (fam.pl.) vuestro, vuestra, vuestros,
vuestras - Your (form.pl.)
- su, sus

book nuestro libro Our books nuestros
libros Therefore, su libro could mean his book,
her book, their book or your book. Of course,
Spanish has a way to specify each of these!

Es el libro de ella. Its her book. Es la
chaqueta de ellos. Its their jacket. Es la
