Evidence that Pollution Impacts on Cloud Ice
Formation Can Affect Surface Radiative Fluxes

  generally produce two orders of magnitude fewer
  crystals than measured
• But ice formation mechanisms related to drop
  evaporation (hypothesized since the 1950s) are a
  viable explanation
