What Parents Believe
  • Health standards received the highest overall
rating of all subject areas (Marzano, Kendall,
    Cincchinelli, 1999).
  • Nearly 74 of all participants responded that
health standards were definitely necessary for
students to master before graduating from high
    school. When individual standards (or
benchmarks) were rank ordered, health continued
to rank as the highest rated subject area.
