Needed for education, conservation, science,
publishing

• Aid identification
• Illustrate lessons, scientific papers and news

  colors of parts that fade in collections
• Georeferenced vegetation images provide baseline
  for changing conditions

  they can empathize with issues

Scanning Images

• Scanning input devices should have high optical
  resolution
• Flatbed scanner 1600 dpi
• Slide/negatives scanner 1600 dpi
• Digital cameras 3 megapixels
• Digital imaging software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop)
  newest version recommended
