2
PACK-UP/PEB, PHASE KIT MANAGEMENT
  • The Pre-expended Bin Unit (ASD sites only) is
responsible for establishing and maintaining the
inventories of consumable pre-expended bins (PEB)
and consumable packups. These PEBs and packups
and their inventories are maintained in Optimized
    IMA.

PACK-UP/PEB, PHASE KIT MANAGEMENT
  • Purpose
  • Transfers an RFI asset from the Supply
Officer to a specific ORG for detachment
    purposes.
  • System Action
  • Generates an X24C Doc Id from RSUPPLY to
    NALCOMIS.
  • Decrements RFI quantity

PACK-UP/PEB, PHASE KIT MANAGEMENT
  • PACK-UP PROCESSING

6
PACK-UP MANAGEMENT
  • Packup Processing is now done using RSUPPLY.
This is known as a Support Package. This is
primarily done at ASD sites to support squadron
detachments where supply support is almost
non-existent such as Fallon Nevada. In some
cases, such as support for a C2 (COD)
detachments, support packages can be created at
shipboard sites as well. While the functionality
still exists to some extent in NALCOMIS, it is
    for local purposes only.

to provide high usage low cost consumables, such
as washers, o-rings, cotter pins, etc.
  • MSP storerooms are used vice Pre Expendable Bins
on board ship to fill requests for this material.
  • This area of NALCOMIS IMA is only used by ASD

Phase Kit Management
  • Phase kits contain inventories of consumable bit
and piece parts that are needed to perform
specific maintenance functions. By creating kits
of bit/pieces, maintenance personnel can request
the kit to perform their function, instead of
    requesting each part separately.

19
Phase Kit Management
  • A phase kit is made up of a master phase kit and
its inventory. The master phase kit is the
"container" LICN that the inventories are
assembled under. Inventories are the related bits
and pieces that are assembled for the specific
function or functions that the kit will support.
  • Phase kits must first be established in the
    system before managing and issuing

20
Phase Kit Management
  • Phase inspections are performed on Aircraft based
    on flight hours.
  • These Kits are pre-assembled in S6 or ASD to
    prevent requisitioning of multiple consumable
    items during the phase inspection.
  • Once the items are identified, they are placed
usually in paper bags and annotated with the LICN
of the kit and the individual NIINS of the
consumables that are in the bag.
  • When a squadron requires the kit to complete a
phase inspection they requisition the kit using
    the LICN of the kit.

21
Phase Kit Management
  • The master phase kit LICN must be flagged as a
phase kit and the supply products indicator (SPI)
must NOT be set on the NIIN record.

22
If the stock number is a master phase kit or if
it is an inventory item or a bit/piece part for a
phase kit, select the Phase Kit check box.

  • Replenishment

34
Phase Kit Management
  • As Phase kits are issued and on hand qty
decreases, Master Phase kits can be replenished,
thus requisitioning the bits and pieces that are
required for the Master Phase kits.

35
Notice that the due quantity is 0 and there is no
O/H quantity
At this point the Replenish button can be
accessed and is used to replenish items for phase
kits
36
Phase Kit Management
  • Once the replenish button is pressed it places
the request in the batch job que for release.
  • Once released it auto assigns a DDSN to each of
the bit piece parts required for the phase kits.
