- Lets examine how God would have us conduct
ourselves in our various relationships
4Guidance From Sermon On The Mount
- Shine As Lights In The World
- You are the light of the world. A city set on a
hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp
and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it
gives light to all in the house. In the same way,
let your light shine before others, so that they
may see your good works and give glory to your
Father who is in heaven. - Matthew 5.14-16
5Guidance From Sermon On The Mount
- Shine As Lights In The World
- Do all things without grumbling or questioning,
that you may be blameless and innocent, children
of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked
and twisted generation, among whom you shine as
lights in the world, holding fast to the word of
life - Philippians 2.14-16
6Guidance From Sermon On The Mount
- Shine As Lights In The World
- Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable,
so that when they speak against you as evildoers,
they may see your good deeds and glorify God on
the day of visitation. - 1 Peter 2.12

- Be Honest With All People
- Let what you say be simply 'Yes' or 'No'
anything more than this comes from evil. - Matthew 5.37
8Guidance From Sermon On The Mount

that you may not fall under condemnation. - James 5.12
9Guidance From Sermon On The Mount
- Love All People, Regardless Of How They Treat You
- You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love
your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to
you, Love your enemies and pray for those who
persecute you, so that you may be sons of your
Father who is in heavenif you greet only your
brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do
not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore
must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is
perfect. - Matthew 5.43-48

12Guidance From Sermon On The Mount
- Judge Righteous Judgment
- Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the
judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and
with the measure you use it will be measured to
you. Why do you see the speck that is in your
brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is
in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the
log out of your own eye, and then you will see
clearly to take the speck out of your brother's
eye. - Matthew 7.1-5

neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments
depend all the Law and the Prophets. - Matthew 22.39-40

the household of faith. - Galatians 6.10

- Every Relationship Needs LoveHusbands
- Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the
church and gave himself up for her, that he might
sanctify herthat she might be holy and without
blemish. In the same way husbands should love
their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his

from God, and whoever loves has been born of God
and knows God In this is love, not that we have
loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son
to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if
God so loved us, we also ought to love one

another, God abides in us and his love is
perfected in us. - 1 John 4.7-12
29What Is Love?
