• Charge
• Consider suitability of the DMAC White Paper as a
  common template for a high-level assessment and
  synopsis of the state and plans of of the RAs
  DMAC systems.

• Purpose of a RA-DMP
• High-level description of current system
• Describe near-term plans
• Identify gaps (unique and in common with other
  RAs)
• Identify useful collaborations
• Identify technology transfer opportunities
• Identify elements requiring supplemental support
• Assess progress towards IOOS DMAC vision

• RA-DMP is not a system architecture description,
  specification or design/build plan.
• RA-DMP describes the state, future plans, and
  gaps in context of interoperability.
• RA-DMP is strategic document for the region, (and
  in aggregate for the other regions and Ocean.US).

Conclusions

• The RA-DMP will be a required and sufficient
  element that fulfills the requirements of the
  DMAC portion of the RAs Business Plans. (We want
  agreement on this by sanctioning body -
  Ocean.US)?
• The RAs DMAC bodies (DMAC Leads Committees)
  will modify/refine the RA-DMP into an agreed-upon
  final form. (Time frame TBD - soonest)?
• Desirable to have first versions of RA-DMP
  available early in 2008 to have an impact on
  FY2007 NOAA funded DM activities.
