• Computers are used for a variety of different
  tasks
• Such as preparing for meetings (Microsoft
  Office).

• They are also used to get documents signed or
  verified quickly. While at the construction site
  the need may rise to get something for a safety
  inspector, architect, etc. Being able to send or
  receive documents using a computer highly
  increases work efficiency.

• Computers are used in conjunction with digital
  cameras on a daily basis. Pictures of progress
  on the job site, or problems on the site are
  emailed daily.

• The cell is used most frequently and usually a
  couple are needed.

• The continued improvement of wireless networks is
  extremely beneficial in this field, usually at
  the construction site there is no network until
  the job is about completed.

• Being able to send/receive info and communication
  are vital to being a successful Project Manager.
  Computers continue to make these things much
  easier and faster.

Conclusion

• Computers can play a very significant role in the
  future of construction. The ability to instantly
  communicate through a variety of paths is
  essential. Computers provide this capability to
  workers on the site which in turn increases
  productivity.
