which supports system-wide accountability,
systems requirements, standards-based curriculum,
instruction and student support. Primary
responsibility to meet the requirements for
state and federal mandates

implementation of the Hawaii Content and
Performance Standards - Researches and develops tools to support
instructional programs to meet the needs of
students and teachers in the various curricular
areas - Develops curricular guidelines and standards for
application throughout the school system
