Lesson Learns Participation

• Participatory VCA is not only solution of CBDRM.
  Need to make an effective DRR plan with community
  participation
• DRR Plan should well be well resourced
• Stand alone DRR approach is not sustainable. One
  programme approach including DRR component is
  more effective

Knowledge and Management

• Need to improve more knowledge and change
  awareness, attitude, self-help spirit among
  stakeholders towards disaster risk management
  than focus on public infrastructure
• Training teams in CBDM programs should involve
  vulnerable groups ( Women, Children) to take
  leadership role for disaster risk reduction
  role.

Linking and Learning

• Community DRR Plan and activities need to approve
  by district which to be linked with District DRR
  Plan
• Province/ district Government staff should be
  part in DRR MELearning process and support the
  communities
