Goals Field of Interest

• IEEE members working in EDA/CAD spread among many
  societies
• Lack of focus and identity in IEEE
• EDA Council to become the focal point for CAD
  activities
• bring value to IEEE and member Societies
• coordinate CAD activities
• The field of interest of the council spans the
  theory, implementation and use of EDA/CAD tools
  to design integrated electronic circuits and
  systems. This includes tools that automate all
  levels of the design, analysis and verification
  of hardware and embedded software up to and
  including complete working systems.
