HOURS OF OPERATION
  • Monday - Thursday
  • 8 a.m. to 830 p.m.
  • Friday
  • 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday
  • 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

LIBRARY ORIENTATION
  • Early each semester, instructors have the
    opportunity to reserve a class period devoted to
    library orientation.
  • Each orientation is tailored to the needs of the
    individual class, and is given by the library
    director and the instructor.
  • Rules, overviews, and instruction are given
    during this session.
  • Discussion of all materials, resources, and
    programs is also included.

RESOURCES AVAILABLE
  • Non-circulating Books
  • Those which are to be used only in the library
    and may not be checked out. They are either
  • 1. Reference Dictionaries, atlases,
    encyclopedias, etc.
  • 2. Reserve Books set aside for
    specific class assignments.
    May be obtained at the circulation
    desk for library
    use only.

CHECKING OUT BOOKS
  • Books may be checked out by students for two
    weeks
  • Faculty and Staff may check out books for one
    semester
  • Overdue fines are fifteen cents per day
  • Please notify a staff member when returning books
    to the library

ALABAMA VIRTUAL LIBRARY
  • Alabama Virtual Library was established in 1999
    and is governed by a board of directors made up
    of library professionals
  • Contains a variety of databases for all ages and
    levels of expertise
  • Provides access to the holdings of major
    libraries in the state
  • Allows access to information unavailable locally
  • Maybe used in the library and at home
