Poverty Project

Which do you think is the poor man?
3
Whos the Rich Man?
  • Two ways in which this world is torn,
  • people who are rich and people who are poor.
  • When people think rich they think wealthy,
  • those people with a lot of money that seem happy
    and healthy.
  • Dirty and lonely is what we think when we think
    poor,
  • people that all our food donations are for.
  • When I think poverty I think a lot more,
  • poverty is when people dont have much to live
    for.
  • Rich is when you live your life the fullest you
    can,
  • so out of these two people who is the rich man?

Tom
  • Toms a man with a lot of things,
  • lots of electronics and a house fit for a king.
  • He made his money by lying his way to the top,
  • because once he started lying he couldnt stop.
  • He had no kids and had no wife,
  • spending his money was how he thought hed bring
    happiness to his life.
  • He was nasty to everyone he met,
  • he didnt even treat his parents with respect.
  • He hasnt been to church on Sunday since he was a
    boy,
  • he figures spending this time at a bar would give
    him more joy.

6
Tom
  • Whenever he saw a stray trudging by hed kick it
    with his feet,
  • and he would laugh at people collecting money in
    the streets.
  • He pushed his family away because they didnt
agree with the way he lived his life,
  • they told him he always acted like he was
stabbing people in the back with a knife.
  • He always came home to an empty house and was
    alone,
  • business calls were the only calls he ever got on
    the phone.
  • He thought all this was what he should live for,
  • he figured he had money how else could he need
    more?

Jim
  • Jim lived most of his life on the streets,
  • going from shelter to shelter with worn out shoes
    on his feet.
  • His mom and dad gave him all they could,
  • they both made little money and worked more than
    they should.
  • He got a job as soon as anyone can,
  • he became a working man.
  • He used his money to go to college and graduate,
  • so he could make the kind of money his parents
    couldnt make.

9
Jim
  • He bought a house even thought it was small,
  • a little house is better than none at all.
  • He got married and had kids,
  • with his parents, his house is where they all
    lived.
  • They all went to church together every Sunday,
  • for they didnt want to spend that time any other
    way.
  • He has friends because he was nice and didnt
    lie,
  • people like to be friends with a trusting guy.
  • He didnt have a lot of money himself but donated
when he could to the poor,
  • he thought he should help someone in need have
    something to live for.

Whose the Rich Man?
  • How could it be that the wealthy man lives in
poverty and the poor man is rich,
  • most people think this should be switched.
  • So really in Gods eyes what makes you poor,
  • do the wealthy or not wealthy have more?
  • Is it money that makes you happy or family and
    friends,
  • which one would really matter when your life
    ends?
  • Was the first man richer because he had more,
  • or was is the 2nd man because he had friends and
    family to live for?
  • Which one lives life the best way he can,
  • really which one is the rich man?
