Why would anybody want to optimize an image?

• If you convert your image to a standard web file
  format, then you might as well optimize that
  image while youre at it

A Brief Look into Vector Images

• Based on mathematical equations, shapes, and
  position
• Easy to edit
• Resize easily
• Usually creates much smaller files than raster
  images when dealing with graphics
• Note Vector programs can rasterize vector images.
