Summary
The STEAM optical instrument performs
limb-imaging measurements between 450 nm and 1.53
?m. It is strongly based on the heritage from
Odin/OSIRIS. Data products will support and
complement the microwave measurements in
the UT/LS
  • tropospheric cloudiness and cloud top heights
  • thin cloud layers and cloud properties
  • ozone distribution
  • water vapour distribution
