Goals of Clark Associates

• Clark Associates is a private business whose goal
  is to design and provide storage configurations
  that best maximize a companys limited space,
  thus allowing for an efficient flow of materials.
  The goal of the companys website is to better
  circulate knowledge about the company and offer
  potential customers the information necessary for
  them to make informed decisions about choosing
  Clark Associates for their storage needs.

Goals of Companys Users

• The users of the website are potential customers
  who are looking for a product that will help them
  to organize their own merchandise. When a user
  goes onto the website the information that they
  are most concerned about is what the company
  offers, what is the quality of the companys
  product, how much is the product, where is the
  company, and finally how can they get the product.

Current Problems with the Website

• The Problems with the current website are that
• There is a different format of the information on
  each page
• All of the text is miniscule and badly spaced
  making it hard to read
• There are broken links, messed up images, and
  direct code that is exposed on one of the pages
• Needlessly repetitive text
• The whole site is severely out of date due to its
  lack of being updated

Short Term Recommendations

• Add a new style sheet
• This would make it easier to update the website,
  allowing for quick and easy changes that could
  directly help the customers in their purchasing
  by allowing them to know what the company does
  and does not offer. It would also allow someone
  to change the format for all of the pages in one
  place.

• Add more comprehensive product and services lists
• These would give the customers an even better
  idea of what products the company offers and
  would be further enhanced if those lists included
  how many of the items were in stock.

Long Term Recommendations

• Add a search engine
• This feature would allow customers to browse what
  the website has to offer easier and faster. Due
  to the ability to quickly find what they want,
  the customer could order that much quicker.

• Add a cost calculator
• This feature would provide a customer with the
  ability to get an estimate on what they want
  quickly and more importantly without costing the
  time of one or more of the employees, if it
  doesnt pan out.

Conclusions

• Currently the Website lacks three main things
  that customers require/expect
• A consistent readable format
• Error free pages
• Most importantly UPDATED INFORMATION
