RESEARCH PROBLEM STATEMENT
In general, not every function performed by a
product is desired. In particular, some of the
undesired product functions can have a damaging
impact on the product itself and/or on the
product environment. The earlier a design error
is discovered, the less expenses its correction
causes. Early capturing and processing the
requirements originating from undesired product
functions will improve the product quality and at
the same time reduce the product development time.
EXPECTED RESULTS AND CONTRIBUTION

• In the area of computer supported and
  knowledge-based design
• a better understanding of the design process,
  which is prerequisite for a better computer
  support in that area
