WHO WAS KING TUT?

• Tutankhamen was a king Ancient Egypt. His name
  was actually Tutankhaton.
• He became king at only 9 years old of age but
  when he was18 years old he died.
• That means he ruled for only 9 years.
• Tut was the 11th Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt.
• Did you know that he wasnt famous until
  centuries after he died?

Life In Ancient Egypt

• The Ancient Egyptians built pyramids for
  pharaohs FOR when they died.
• The EGYPTIANS believed in gods such as Ra
  ,Anubis, Khnum and Osiris. they had items like
  scarabs. They hunted Hippos in boats AND ate
  them for dinner. They had crocodiles for pets as
  well as camels, hippos, cats birds, cows and
  dogs.

• They had slaves to move the big stones to
  build the Pyramids.
• The top of the pyramids were different shaped
• capstones. Capstones weighed over ONE TONE.
• DEAD PEOPLE ARE BURIED IN Pyramids.. The
  Ancient Egyptians built pyramids for pharaohs
  FOR when they died.

Hieroglyphics

• People in Ancient Egypt didnt write like we
  do today. They wrote in Hieroglyphics.
  Hieroglyphics was a strange type of writing. They
  drew animals, human parts etc, etc. People wrote
  Hieroglyphics in the pyramids.
• In 1822 a young French scholar named
• Jean Francois used his knowledge of
• Ancient Greek to read the Rosetta stone.
• He had figured out Hieroglyphics at last.

HOW DID KING TUT DIE?

• No-one is sure how this mysterious death
  happened. Here are some of the theories. Some
  people think he fell off his chariot. Others
  think he got hit at the back head .
• People think he got bitten by snakes.
• But no-one knows how he really did die.
